From Personal Experience: Losing Weight...

When you commit to change your way of life, & start losing pounds & working out to get there, try not to weigh yourself everyday. Your body needs time to expand and contract -if you know what I mean.- Before losing real weight, your body will get sore and, in short term, you can see the scale betraying your hard work. Do not fear my ladies, its ok, this will eventually change!

It has definitely been like a dream to have met all these beautiful women, of all backgrounds of life, that shared the same dreams and passion for fashion! I hope this is just the beginning of something amazing, and I am so lucky to have been part of this ride =)

Good News!

Hello my fellow bloggaristas! As I was strolling through the halls of Plaza las Americas, I saw the Torrid store -a plus size trendy store for curvaceous fashionistas- opened at last. I got all excited because is very difficult for me to find cute clothes that show the Joanne within me. So, as I entered the store, I saw the post and as Jim Carey in Yes Man, I said to myself why not? My passion for fashion and beauty go before I bought my first pair of stillettos, and as a way to stay true to myself and help motivate other girls like me to be happy with their bodies and inspire others, I went to the auditions. I put on a dress that I bought for my birthday, put on my bubblegun wedges (yes, they smell like bubble gum!) & my M Style Lab necklace my mom bought me. I'll post the list of products I used for my auditions. &  I am so happy to tell you that I was chosen as one of the 14 finalists of the House of Dreams Model Search Puerto Rico! It has come in such a good moment, my birthday was a week ago, with the stress of school & trying to make it through all, the rush is insane!

Happy B-day 2 meeeee!!!!!!!

Hi my beautiful bloggaristas! I know its been a while since I wrote to you and many things have happened.  I recently became 26 years old, yay Happy Birthday to meee!!! We went to one of my favorite places, Latin Roots in Old San Juan and had a wonderful time with my friends and family, nothing brings us latinos together like some Salsa music! I wish you would have been there with me, we had a blast. I'm more like a beginner, only a few steps here and there, but you could actually see the pros there shaking that booty like in dancing with the stars.

Here's a pic with my grandma! She was so cute and stayed till real late to go and celebrate my birthday! My presents were so nice, my mom gave me an H&M haul, we don't have H&M in Puerto Rico so I was really excited! And got a few beauty gifts too...

                                       

I got my sustainable Urban Decay eyeshadow box, a Bare Minerals Foiled eyeshadow tutorial, Parissiene from YSL, a Mac Foundation, Metro Chic Nailpolish from Sephora by OPI, and that cutie little makeup bag on sale for $10 at Sephora. The other things were a Mac gift card (still haven't used it) and my Beauty Insider gift from Sephora (so cute). I'll show you my other gifts such as shoes and clothes later on. I wish you the best on this year, and a wonderful B-day, when ever it may be!
