Frugalista Chic: Wet N Wild Haul

Wanted to make a quick post on my latest drugstore makeup haul. I must say I was a snob when it came to makeup before my friend Tat -Close Eye Typing- urged me to give Wet n Wild a try, and after a long thought (almost 3 months) I decided to give it a try. Have not tried these yet, but hopefully will be posting swatches in a few days. But I most say, they look gorgeous! And those neutrals, go right up my alley. =)

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 3!!!

Makeup junkies rejoice!!! From the maker's of the most coveted eyeshadow palettes, here's the third installation of Urban Decay Book of Shadows, this time an homage to NYC. Don't ya love it?

It includes their signature pop-ups, reminiscent of New York City's street style, along with a fun mirror integrated on the back (just like Alice in Wonderland Palette.)

The palette will retail for $54, and since the launch date is yet to be announced, based on past releases, it might be hitting the virtual UD shelves by mid to late September. It's expected to launch online at urbandecay.com after Labor Day and then Ulta, Sephora, Beauty.com, & Macy's around Oct 1st.

Hello Neutral! Too Face "Natural Eye" Makeup Tutorial 1

This is the first of a series of makeup tutorials I'll be doing with the Too Faced Natural Eye palette. Great look for the summer, for work, school, or just to go out! Tone it up or down for a different look, pair it with any color lipstick or gloss for a different effect.

Makeup Look of the Day!

Hey guys! So, I am starting to branch out looking for new and not so new affordable products because I know that not everybody can afford Mac, Nars or other expensive makeup products. Currently I am experimenting on drugstore foundation, mascara and eyeshadows. Some of the products I am using have truly amazed me on their quality & affordability. 

The first one worth mentioning is Revlon's Colorstay Foundation in Warm Golden for combination/oily skin. It applies so smooth and nice, awesome coverage, it's best if applied with a sponge because it is rather liquid so the use of the brush is rather tricky. Elf cosmetics has these shadow quads that have me ecstatic,  and costs only a $1!!! The one I used today is Butternut and the color payoff with these is ridiculous (especially the darker ones, you have to watch out because a little bit goes a long way!) Not thrilled with the mascara though, I used a pink Rimmel one, not a fan of the brush and it left me some flaking =/. 

On the not so affordable but worth buying products, I used Desert Rose blush, Naked lip liner, and Myth lipstick by Mac cosmetics. Hope you guys like this very nude look, I really enjoyed it and captures the attention in a very subtle & chic way! =)

Tim Burton's Mad Hatter Craze...

Hey girls! In honor of Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland, I made this costume for my fiancé last Halloween.  People went crazy taking pictures, it was tough enough trying to get by through one place to another without having to take a dozen pictures in the process. We had alot of fun, so I was thinking of recreating the look in a tutorial on Youtube, what do you guys think? I can explain later how we achieved the costume, since it wasn't in stores yet when we made it! It was a complete success, and whether you want it for a Alice in Wonderland themed party (which I think they will be) or this year's Halloween, it is definitely a crowd stopper!
