ESOSA Fall 2012 Collection- Urban Geisha
"The collection is rooted in classic American sportswear silhouettes, joined with Japanese references, done with a modern edge. Black lacquered boxes; gold leaf artifacts and Japanese calligraphy inspired fabric treatments and prints that are urban, dynamic and strong. Vibrant colors are teamed with varying shapes to create looks that are visually stimulating and timeless. The Urban Geisha collection speaks to a spirit of strength and courage."

Went Shopping Today =)
Hey Blogarristas! I went today to the mall, to my dismay that I had to wait for like an hour just to get to the multilevel parking. If you reside in Puerto Rico you know, if you do not, Puerto Rico's main sport is shopping. No store in Puerto Rico feels the downsides of economic turmoil because we rather be bankrupted and full of debt, in style. Well, going down to business, I went venturing on the other side of the mall, usually I stay near where Macys is, to Forever 21, one of the biggest stores they have on the nation, it's as big as a department store, is ridiculous.
Anywhooo, I always wonder for like 3 hours there, and even though I'm plus and the store is mainly skinnier girl clothes, luckily a few pieces from the regular side still fit me =). To my surprise, they just expanded the plus section, called Faith 21. I went with my reserves because I didn't like the selection they had offered so far. I was surprised by the variety of clothes they got, and how cheap it is! Is perfect for season items you do not want to spend a whole lot for. I do need to say that it runs a little big, unless you want it not too fitted. These two dresses are 1X, but I felt they runned slim (fitted). I tried two more dresses that were 1X and felt huge and they didn't have XL available at the time, which was a bummer.
The first one cost me $22.80 + tax, & the jean strapless dress cost $24.80 + tax which was a steal! I always spend more than $50 for dresses that I only used a few times, so this is a great alternative for me. Although I will use these more than a couple of times, they are light weight and fun! If you notice they still have their tags on, I couldn't resist not showing them to you. Don't know if they still have them at your local Faith 21, but you can check at their website: www.forever21.com.
Until Next Time!
XOXO,
BV

Torrid House Of Dreams Puerto Rico Model Search
I'm honored to have been part of this competition. It has definitely been like a dream to have met all these beautiful women, of all backgrounds of life, that shared the same dreams and passion for fashion! I hope this is just the beginning of something amazing, and I am so lucky to have been part of this ride =)
Good News!
Hello my fellow bloggaristas! As I was strolling through the halls of Plaza las Americas, I saw the Torrid store -a plus size trendy store for curvaceous fashionistas- opened at last. I got all excited because is very difficult for me to find cute clothes that show the Joanne within me. So, as I entered the store, I saw the post and as Jim Carey in Yes Man, I said to myself why not? My passion for fashion and beauty go before I bought my first pair of stillettos, and as a way to stay true to myself and help motivate other girls like me to be happy with their bodies and inspire others, I went to the auditions. I put on a dress that I bought for my birthday, put on my bubblegun wedges (yes, they smell like bubble gum!) & my M Style Lab necklace my mom bought me. I'll post the list of products I used for my auditions. & I am so happy to tell you that I was chosen as one of the 14 finalists of the House of Dreams Model Search Puerto Rico! It has come in such a good moment, my birthday was a week ago, with the stress of school & trying to make it through all, the rush is insane!
Thanks for your support always,
Joanne

Grammy's Fashion Break Down
The Grammy Awards just wrapped up. We are left to say is when it comes to fashion, the Grammy’s leaves us with a trail full of fashion bread crumbs!
No show would start without out our beloved Gaga, that whether fashion police likes her or not, she makes a hell of a statement each time she appears and people just can’t stop to talking about her. She sported a Giorgio Armani Privé cosmic dress with silver rings, with her hair styled with platinum waves with yellow ends. She later performed onstage with non other than Elton John, they both made me jump to piano heaven.
As far as others go, Taylor Swift, my favorite country singer ever, was her graceful self wearing a topaz-blue, off-the-shoulder Kaufmanfranco sequined dress that screamed Grammy winner. I loved Jennifer Hudson, she brought herself so sleek and structured in a black Victoria Beckham dress. Her hard work is paying of as she was noticeably thinner at this year’s awards.
Katy Perry, along with fiancé Russell Brand, wore a nude Zac Posen dress embellished with gold flowers, and an elephant clutch, inspired by her last trip to India, were Russell proposed!
Pink, looked so hollywood in that monochromatic silver gown, she has come along way from her first red carpets. My other favorites were Carrie Underwood in an asymmetrical white gown; and Sheryl Crow in Bottega Veneta dress.
I really didn’t care for Beyoncé's gown, her nude sculpted Stephane Rolland dress was rather boring. Rhianna’s dress didn’t flatter her at all, that Elie Saab white dress got me worried, I thought she was going to suffocate. Britney Spears was a disappointment (because I love her) in a black Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit covered with a lace dress.

Gaga at the Grammys!!!
Lady Gaga is just gorgeous with an Armani Privé dress on the red carpet today. I was surprised for her hair and makeup, they were really classic and vintage. Remember this is Gaga, and it's the Grammy's. So take your places and buckle up because you never know what she will do next!
Stay tuned... =)
